Coombsville for Wine Enthusiast

I photographed four fantastic winemakers in Coombsville, Nappa's newest appellation. I love people who are willing to get up and do a sunrise shoot! These guys and gals are up at the crack of dawn and it didn't even phase them.

Wacky Jacky for Where Magazine

Captain Jacky Douglas is the skipper and owner of the fishing boat Wacky Jacky. It was inspiring to spend a day with the high spirited captain and her devoted crew on assignment for Where Magazine

We circled the Farallon Islands in search of salmon for the better part of the day. The ocean was very calm and hardly windy; so quiet that sometimes that we could hear the whales blowing before we saw their spray. There was a camaraderie that we felt at the end of the day, the kind where you spend the day with strangers and it's fun. Not everyone on the boat actually caught a fish, but everyone somehow went home with one. Including me!

Belcampo

This summer I had the pleasure of photographing Belcampo's family day at their ranch in Mount Shasta.

It was about 108 degrees or so and there was lots of fire and meat involved. Dedicated, detail oriented and hard working people producing a top notch product! It was an honor to be a part of their day. Thank you to Anya Fernald and her crew for making me feel like part of the family.

Bust Magazine: Oakland!

Really enjoyed spending time in Oakland to shoot this travel story for Bust Magazine. The East Bay has so much to offer; I'm always looking for an excuse to spend the day over there. And now, commuting on a new Bay Bridge!

It was cool to discover places new to me like the beatutiful Mountainview Cemetery and Gondola Servizio on Lake Merritt. And to visit some new favorites like Brown Sugar Kitchen and Mua. I have been a BIG FAN of BUST for years (big fan!) and I am pretty excited to share this.

I photographed Belcampo's Anya Fernald for Diablo's Women to Watch feature. What a dynamic lady! You can read the article here and you can sample their delicious meat at their restaurant and butcher counter in Larkspur. Their specialty is beef, but I highly recommend the chicken livers!
